It is our pleasure to present a personal friend of mine
Bailey. Colorado native and one of the most popular
spanking models in the genre. She started work for AEG on their Real
Spanking site and then the Real Spankings Institute as well as Real
Strappings, OTK Spankings and now her very own site Spanking Bailey.

"Spanking Model Speaks"
Bailey has emerged onto the online spanking scene in the
summer of 2005. Apart from her spanking films and clips, she contributes
to the scene with her level-headed, insightful posts on spanking
discussion boards, such as
World
Spanking Forum and
HappyTails. In the relatively short time since her debut, Bailey has
developed something of a cult following. Her fans have styled themselves
as “Mindless Bailey Worshipers”; they closely follow her work, and spend
considerable time discussing it as rationally as one can analyse
spanking clips.
Thank you for talking to us, Bailey. Please, tell us a little
about yourself, as much as you’re comfortable saying.
Well, let’s see. I am 19 years old. I live in Colorado, and have for
most of my life. I have had a spanking fetish since I was a little girl.
I love history and spend way too much time watching documentaries on the
History Channel. I also have a bit of an internet addiction, and I love
surfing and reading blogs, or looking up something new. Aside from that,
I have many interests including reading, travel, and learning (ever so
slowly and painfully) to cook.
So what’s more painful: being spanked or learning to cook?
I think they are both equally painful but in different ways. Learning
to cook has definitely caused me more mental anguish, because if I mess
it up other people suffer too, *and* I might get spanked, too!
You’re into spanking in your private life, is that right?
Yes I am. I had a private spanking fetish well before I was engaging
in any spanking on video, and it is still a very important part of my
private life.
How much experience did you have with spanking before you started
doing it professionally?
I have had several spanking partners over the last couple of years,
both in full time relationships and more casually. Before I started
doing it professionally I had been spanked by a couple different people,
and had experienced most implements as well as differing levels of
severity. Since I had been doing spanking privately for quite a while
before I started doing the videos I’d say I had a fair bit of
experience. However, it is very hard to compare what I do in my private
life to what I do in videos , so I’m not sure how much the experience
helped me when I actually started modelling.
Could you tell us a bit more about it? Why is it hard to
compare?
Well, everything changes when you bring in lights and a camera. When
I am getting spanked privately I usually go to some very specific places
mentally. At a video shoot it is much harder to do that, for several
reasons. For one thing I do not have as strong of a connection to the
Tops I shoot with, because I have no relationship with them outside of
work. Also, during a shoot I have to be aware of factors such as where
the cameras are, where to point my face, whether my hair is in my face,
not saying certain words and making sure I do say the right buzz words.
The combination makes the two totally different experiences.
So, one day you woke up, and decided: “Gee, I think I’m going
to become a spanking model.” Was it like that, or is there a little more
of a story to it?
Ha! I actually read an article in a local newspaper (the
West Word) about the company in Denver that makes spanking videos. I
remembered seeing some of their preview stuff online and had always
liked what I saw. I also thought it would be really fun to get paid to
do something I was already doing privately. I sent the article to my
spanking contacts and asked them what they thought. Everyone said they
thought it sounded fun, so I gave the company a call and got an
interview scheduled. I guess the rest is history. hehe.
Was it a hard job interview, would you say? Did you have to
answer any tricky questions, or did you launch straight into spanking?
For the most part the interview was pretty straightforward. They had
me read through a lot of information about the company and what I could
expect if I were to be hired on as a model. Mainly the questions had to
do with whether or not I understood what they were about, and if I still
wanted the job. I think the hardest question I had to answer was after I
said I definitely was interested in what they do. My interview just
looked at me and said, “Why?”
That’s a hard question. They liked your answer, though. How
many shoots have you done all in all, would you say? Can you give a
number?
Oh goodness, I have no idea really. A lot. I’ve been shooting pretty
much once a week since July 2005. There have been a few breaks in there
(I went on a month long vacation, and a shoot here and there has been
cancelled), but it’s been pretty steady otherwise. Is “several” close
enough?
Does any particular shoot stand out?
I think probably the shoot I did for the movie
“Conspiracy” stands out the most. I had a lot of fun with that one
because it was different and there were more models involved. At a
regular shoot I don’t get to work with other girls really, so it was a
real treat to get to meet the other girls. Also, I was really excited to
meet the famous Niki Flynn and work with her. It was also the most
severe shoot I had been involved with up until that point, so it really
stuck with me. Watching the final paddling scene still makes me shiver a
bit.
Does such a busy shooting schedule affect your private
spanking life?
It can, yes. Shooting every week means I have to take certain things
into consideration before playing with anyone else. It isn’t the end of
the world if I show up to a shoot with marks from a play encounter, but
it isn’t really encouraged either. It can be hard to find the right time
to play at the intensity that I’d like if I know I have a shoot coming
up. Often the result is that I simply don’t get to play. If I do play
with someone I find myself saying, “Remember I have to shoot…” In
addition to avoiding marks, I am frequently sore. It can be hard to get
up for a hard spanking at home when I am still feeling the effects off
my last shoot. However even with these considerations I think I enjoy
plenty of spankings privately.
Do you ever bring suggestions for the scenarios, or are you
just told: here is what we’re shooting, and this is what you have to do.
I have made suggestions before that we have put on film. However most
of the time they already have something in mind for me. Sometimes that
changes over the course of a shoot, and sometimes we just go with the
original plan. I think there is a pretty good balance.
What is your normal shooting-day routine like?
Usually shoots go pretty quickly. I come in and spend a couple
minutes talking about the plan for the day, then we start the spankings.
They usually progress from least severe to most severe so that we can
shoot all the planned scenes for the day without killing my butt half
way through. That means usually the first spanking of the day will be a
hand spanking, and it will increase in severity up through a wooden
paddle of some sort, or a cane. Between each scene usually there will be
a small break while they get the lights and set together for the next
one, but that is about it. I go through four scenes in about three
hours.
Do you ever wake up in the morning and think - oh, I wish I
didn’t have to shoot today?
Sometimes. I get pretty bad nerves right before hand, so I often feel
that way just before going in. However after my shoot I usually am
really happy and proud of myself for making it through another one, so
the feeling never lasts.
You have very fair skin, and mark really easily. Do you think
this is an advantage, or do you wish your skin was tougher?
All of the above? I think a lot of the members like to see marks, so
usually my marking easily has been a good thing. However I also feel
like I could take more if I didn’t mark as much. Since I’ve been
shooting my skins seems to have developed a bit of a tolerance, though,
and I don’t mark quite as much as I used to. The same paddling that
would have bruised me severely and come close to breaking skin last year
probably would only leave light bruising today.
If there is one implement you would rather never be spanked
with again - what is it?
This is a terribly unfair question. I’m not sure it’s safe to go on
record as hating a particular impliment. The result almost certainly
would be that I would suddenly be getting spanked with it a lot more
often. Though as I said before I do have a bit of a fascination with all
things that are traditionally “domestic”. Unfortunately for me that
includes some of the more severe things like hairbrushes and wooden
spoons. I guess I have a love/ hate relationship with those. Hairbrushes
especially make me cringe. Also school style paddles are pretty ouchy.
Have you ever been tempted to venture outside the walls of
Real Spankings, and work with somebody else?
I’ve thought about it. So far the right situation has not arisen. I
don’t really have the opportunity to venture out of Colorado very often,
and all the other companies are located elsewhere so it’s pretty much a
moot point.
Is there a mainstream actor or actress you’d want to make a
spanking film with?
Hmmm there are several. I have to say Alan Rickman is probably at the
top of my list. What kinky girl wouldn’t want to be spanked by Snape?
Errr… yeah.
Next come the winning questions from your adoring public,
which they have sent over the last weekend. My favourite question came
from your fan Cleric, who wanted to know: “When you are working, how
much say do you have on what you’ll wear in particular clips, your hair,
make-up etc?”
I have almost total say over hair and makeup. I do both my hair and
my makeup before I go in for a shoot and usually it is not messed with.
Every once in a while they will ask me to change my hair partway through
the shoot just to get a change, or if there is some issue with it
staying in my face. I always try to choose hairstyles that keep it out
of my face.
I don’t have nearly so much say over the clothes. Sometimes we will
shoot a scene or two in my street clothes, but usually I wear something
from the wardrobe provided by the studio. The uniforms for the
Real Spankings Institute site are all standard, and usually I change
my outfit two or three times just to make sure I’m not constantly
wearing the same clothes in scenes. However unless we are doing a
specialized scene (RSI
uniforms, drop-seat PJs, etc) I will usually get to choose which
clothes I wear from the wardrobe closet.
And finally, the winning question of your own choice, coming
from Razor: What is your favourite position to be spanked in?
I really prefer to be spanked over the knee. The reason for this is
that I really feel that over the knee spankings are far more intimate
than any of the bent over positions. I also really like the
vulnerability that comes with an OTK spanking in part because of its
childish associations. It hits all my buttons with regard to “firm
loving discipline”.
Is there a question you wish I asked you?
Hmmm. I wish you asked me how it feels to have someone take enough
interest in me to interview me for a blog! If you *did* ask me that I
would tell you that it is very flattering and it makes me feel really
good to feel like people might actually be interested in what I have to
say. I just hope I wasn’t a huge, boring, disappointment.
