Domestic Discipline Punishment Strap

Relationships are difficult. Domestic Discipline requires a lot of work and can only be successfully undertaken by dedicated couples in which at least one partner has the stability and strengths required of a disciplinarian. But it can make the difference between disaster and lasting happiness. (taken from Fondlyandfirmly.com) I don't view myself as the naughty little girl, nor do I view my Husband as "daddy". I don't feel childish when put through my punishment, either standing in the corner, or bare-bottomed over my Husband's knees. According to the US Department of Education, 46 of the 50 states are permitting the use of corporal punishment in their tax-subsidized schools. Officials in the US Office of Civil Rights estimate at least 1.5m students received a paddling last year, and they say that number will increase in 1984. In other words, about 1 in 28 students attending a public school this year can expect a physical disciplining. In some states, that percentage will be considerably higher. Last year, for example, education officials in Florida say about 184,000 students -- or about 1 in 8 -- were paddled at least once.

Student Spankings OK'd

The Associated Press Montgomery, Ala. - Gov. Fob James intends to sign a bill giving teachers immunity from lawsuits if they paddle students within their school board's guidelines. "It's a historic piece of legislation because it now makes the law of the state include all of the fundamentals to reform and improve public schools," James said. The bill is part of a package the governor proposed that also would set education standards and shift more money to poorer districts. The Alabama House agreed 83-0 Tuesday to accept a version of the governor's bill that the Senate had passed earlier, 31-0. A U.S. Education Department survey in 1992 said 26 states, including New York, ban school officials from spanking students.
